Happy New Year, Mary Jane

I just enjoyed reloaning some of my Kiva funds. I love it, every time. Make that initial loan of $25., wait til it's repaid, then reloan it. Round and round your money goes, helping to change one life after another, and never needing a penny more from you.
This time my loan went to Mary Jane Jarquio, from the village of Nungnungan, Cauayan City. 36 years old, this entrepreneur is married and has four school-aged children. To make a living, Mary Jane owns and operates a business venture in the retail sector running a general store. While not the only means for generating revenue, the main source of income for the business comes primarily from selling daily use products such as shampoo, soap and toothpaste in the local community. Mary Jane is just starting this retail business. She is requesting the loan to purchase additional products to sell so that she can use the revenue generated to improve and expand her business.
Sounds great to me, and I'm proud to be able to extend a helping hand to one of my sisters, worldwide.

Kiva is amazing. More amazing are the people who participate.
